A/B Testing

A/B testing or split testing takes two or more versions of the same email and sends it to a sample group.  Analytics then show which subject line which performs.

You can set parameters that will then trigger the better performing subject line to become the one being used for all unsent emails.  So, if you aren’t sure which subject line to use you can safely test it before sending to the whole population and potentially choosing the wrong subject line which then affects your open rates or unsubscribes
